Our Volunteers in Action
We can't say enough about our great volunteers! Their creativity and hard work do so much to enrich the daily lives of the children at the center. What have our volunteers been up to? Below at left, Pennsylvania State Senator Andy Dinniman spends some time with the children after presenting a donation.
- Delaware Valley Children's Charity – The DVCC annual Holiday Giving Program gifts make the holiday season merry for our students. Simple gifts like warm gloves, toys, or even a grocery store gift card make the season bright. And what could be better than a visit from Santa himself! (picture at right)
- Siemens employees – through United Way Days of Caring, help with painting, fence repairs, and computer maintenance and upgrades
- West Chester University – teacher interns for nursing, elementary education, psychology, and early childhood education majors
- Sartomer Company – help with maintenance problems, promoting book and toy drives, building scholarship fund
- Special programs including puppet shows and a grand celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday
